<p>Trend sirove hrane (raw food) postao je popularan posljednjih desetljeća zbog rastućeg interesa za zdravlje, održivost i povratak prirodnim načinima prehrane. Filozofija sirove hrane temelji se na ideji da je hrana u svom prirodnom, neprerađenom stanju najhranjivija i najbolje odgovara ljudskom organizmu. Pristalice smatraju da kuhanje na visokim temperaturama uništava vitalne enzime i hranjive tvari te da sirova hrana zadržava maksimum svojih nutritivnih svojstava.</p>



<p>Sirova prehrana ima svoje prednosti u pogledu prirodnosti i bogatstva hranjivih tvari, no zahtijeva pažljivo planiranje kako bi se izbjegli potencijalni nutritivni nedostaci. Pristup ovoj prehrani često uključuje i dublju filozofiju koja cijeni jednostavnost, povezanost s prirodom i ekološku održivost.</p>

<p>Trend sirove hrane vuče korijene iz drevnih praksi, poput ajurvede i tradicionalnih prehrana raznih plemena, koja su se oslanjala na lokalne biljne izvore hrane. Međutim, suvremeni pokret sirove hrane počeo je rasti u 20. stoljeću, pod utjecajem nutricionista koji su naglašavali važnost minimalno obrađene hrane. Porast svijesti o štetnim učincima industrijski prerađene hrane, briga o okolišu i želja za jednostavnijim načinom života dodatno su potaknuli popularnost ovog trenda.</p>
